LG has finally introduced the world's first* thinner bezel under 1mm, the 0.44mm dual bezel. LG's 55SVH7E emphasizes the similarity of its screen with the bezel-less 'original' image, rather than comparing the reduced bezel size with previous bezels.

Image Space Reduction

The 55SVH7E includes an image enhancement algorithm that can reduce image gaps between tiled screens when playing videos. Objects within the frame boundaries have been adjusted for a seamless viewing experience.

High Performance and Excellent Scalability

Thanks to its built-in SoC and webOS smart signage platform, the 55SVH7E can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while providing smooth content playback without the need for a media player. SIs are even easier to create and optimize as webOS supports HTML5 as a web-based platform and offers an SDK (Soft Development Kit).

Custom GUI for Portrait Orientation

The traditional GUI (Graphic User Interface) was designed based on landscape oriented consumer TV usage, so the OSD (On Screen Display) was not well suited for portrait mode displays. However, the 55SVH7E's OSD consists of a long-range menu with larger font sizes and a 9:16 ratio.

Easy Color Adjustment

Depending on the content, the color temperature of the screen can be easily adjusted in 100K increments using the remote control.

Intuitive Menu Structure

The menu structure is optimized for commercial use. By adopting a more intuitive GUI for ease of use, it simplifies approach flows and groups similar functions together. This way, users can avoid trial and error while exploring desired functions and managing screens.

Simple White Balance Adjustment

On traditional video walls, white balance could only be adjusted in full white mode, but the 55SVH7E allows you to change each grayscale value to get more detailed and precise white balance adjustment.

LAN Daisy Chain Management

A LAN daisy chain allows you to execute commands to control and monitor video walls and even update their software all at once.

Real-Time Maintenance Service

Maintenance becomes easier and faster with Signage 365 Care*, an optional service, a cloud service solution provided by LG service. It provides stable operation of the customer's business by remotely managing the status of the screens in the customer workplaces for fault diagnosis and remote control services.

The 55SVH7E video wall has a smooth and uninterrupted display, even with fast-moving content such as sports. The thin bezel combines with a smooth white balance to make the intersections of the panels almost disappear. The module scanning method has been adjusted so that even the fastest moving ball moves between panels with no image gap. These Adjustments provide for viewers not only on the far left in the middle of the IPS landscape but not just below but far below the join.

The world's first 0.44mm bezel means the line of the screen edge is so thin it can be drawn with a ballpoint pen. In other words, the line where the two screens meet is as thin as a credit card. The stitching is made more invisible with proper white balance. Unlike traditional video walls that darken near the edges of each panel, the 55SVH7E delivers even color throughout the image. Both white balance and color temperatures can be adjusted in any mode, a step higher than previous iterations that were only allowed in "full white mode" settings.

 

Thanks to the new module scanning innovation, fast-moving content can now be loaded seamlessly across multiple panels. While other video walls load the image from the same spot on each screen, this breakthrough changes the scanning direction to ensure even the fastest moving object is displayed clearly from one panel to the next. Content is also easy to load, thanks to the built-in SoC and webOS smart signage platform. It's even possible to animate or add content while playing simultaneous videos via web apps or real-time streaming.

 

These changes combine with IPS technology pioneered by LG to provide a clear picture regardless of the viewer's position. The narrow bezel and enhanced white uniformity allow even a viewer standing under the video wall to see a picture that is not marked by lines or shadows. Spectators standing on either side will see as clearly as those standing in the front and centre.
