Twice as nice: two screens, one handsome hybrid meeting room solution
As businesses reshape to better accommodate hybrid workflows, the emphasis is on attracting people back into the office. How to furnish and equip meeting spaces to best meet the needs of all users, now and in the future, is a trending discussion across all sectors.
When it comes to technology, the key criteria must be high quality sound and video to ensure inclusivity for remote participants, and easy, intuitive usage for frictionless meeting experiences.
Whilst fit-for-purpose performance is essential (and guaranteed from Sharp/NEC), this need not mean sacrificing good looks. When you’ve designed and specified your meeting room to the highest quality, you will want the technology to look as good as it performs.
The NEC Dual Collaboration (Du-Co for short) Room System has been purpose-designed to bring the highest quality tools to hybrid teams whilst perfectly integrating into the most stylish interior designs.
One touch, one non-touch
Optimised for video conferencing room systems such as Teams Room or Zoom Room, the NEC Du-Co system provides an aesthetically pleasing dual screen solution. Two visually identical displays, one dedicated to VC and the other touch-enabled for collaborative interaction, combine to support hybrid teams.
Two visually identical screens
The NEC dual screen solution combines two displays, an interactive NEC MultiSync® M Series-IGB and an identically designed non-interactive MultiSync® M Series-IGB. The non-interactive display features the same protective glass panel as the touch-enabled screen giving them the same visual appearance.
High brightness levels of 500cd/m2 ensure excellent readability and image reproduction even in today’s typically bright meeting spaces and the anti-glare coating minimises disturbing reflections and helps to eliminate the appearance of fingerprints.
Demanded for high spec meeting spaces
The NEC Du-Co Room System’s aesthetic appearance is unique in the marketplace. It came about as a direct result of conversations with our end users. We listened to their needs and responded with a purpose-designed solution.
One of our global customers, a leading international law firm, incorporates the Du-Co Room System into its newly refurbished client-facing and non-client-facing meeting spaces:
Having refurbished our meeting spaces to a very high standard, we were looking to equip them with a dual screen solution which would support video conferencing and collaborative working. We compared a few offerings, but we were disappointed that the appearance of the touch and non-touch screen surfaces and the surrounding bezels did not match. It was jarring to the eye and simply did not sit well with our high spec interior design. We fed this back to Sharp/NEC and who were very open to consider developing a product which would meet our needs.
We have tested the Du-Co system in our London office and we are very happy with the look and the performance. Sharp/NEC’s products are available globally, so we are able to standardise on this solution for our meeting spaces in other locations.
